In 2025 we continue collaborating with the Alliance for Child Vaccination project.

Our company contributes to the pneumonia vaccination campaign in 2025
Barcelona, May 15, 2025 – RECA has renewed its commitment to corporate social responsibility by joining the Business Alliance for Child Immunization, an initiative led by “la Caixa” Foundation in collaboration with Gavi the Vaccine Alliance and ISGlobal.
This contribution will be fully allocated to the distribution of pneumonia vaccines in several African countries, where this disease continues to be the leading cause of child mortality in the world.
A commitment with real impact
Since 2008, the Alliance for Child Immunization has managed to vaccinate more than 11.5 million children in 10 countries in Africa and Latin America. These achievements have been possible thanks to the collaboration of more than 400,000 donors, including companies like RECA that have turned corporate social responsibility into a tangible commitment.
The multiplier effect of solidarity
What makes this collaboration especially valuable is the innovative co-financing system implemented through the Gavi Matching Fund. For every euro donated by companies like RECA:
- “la Caixa” Foundation doubles it (up to a maximum of 3 million euros)
- The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation doubles the total amount
This means that each corporate contribution is multiplied by four, thus maximizing the impact of corporate solidarity in the fight against child mortality.
A more hopeful future
For 2025, the Alliance aims to significantly increase the number of vaccinated children. With the continued support of companies like RECA, it is expected to bring this vital protection to more vulnerable communities on the African continent.
RECA’s collaboration with the Alliance for Child Immunization not only represents an investment in global health, but also a commitment to the corporate values of solidarity and social responsibility that define our company.
